Nuvvula Podi is a dry chutney mix made with mostly sesame seeds. It also contains chana dal, salt, chillies, jaggery, garlic paste and cumin seeds. Nuvvula Podi is usually mixed with ghee or cooking oil to make a paste, that is eaten as a condiment with dishes like vada, dosa and idli.
