Local Delivery Frequently Asked Questions! 

 

 

  • Do you deliver to my area?

Currently we offer delivery upto 10 miles radius of our Hillcroft, Houston Store. The address is 6606 Southwest Freeway Houston Texas 77074. Eventually – we will increase our delivery reach to include larger area.

 

  • What is the Local delivery fee? 

Regular home delivery rates are $4.99 (within 5 mile radius). If you reside outside 5 mile radius, then we charge additional $0.99 per mile, upto 10 miles. We currently do not offer delivery service over 10 miles.

For items, that are heavier than 50Lbs, there is an additional charge of 10% of the value of order. 

E.G Delivery distance is less than 5 miles & order total is $100 that weights 60 Lbs, the shipping charge is $4.99 (Delivery Fee) + $10 (Heavy Order Fee).  

If the order total is $100, and total weight is less than 50LBS, then the delivery fee is $4.99 

 

  • Is there a minimum order amount? 

Yes, a $19.99 minimum purchase amount (excluding applicable tax, delivery fee) is required to process and deliver your order. 

 

  • When can I get my groceries delivered? 

As we are introducing this service, We deliver 3 days a week, Wednesday, Thursday & Saturdays between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm local time. Eventually, we will add 7 days a week delivery with extended hours. 

 

My apartment is not on the first (ground) floor - would you still deliver?

Deliveries for orders other than first floor must have elevator access. If no elevator, customer is requested to meet the driver on the first floor for delivery or else delivery is subject to an additional 10% surcharge.  

 

  • Do you have Same Day Delivery? 

No. We currently do not have same day delivery, however – we plan to offer this service very soon (additional charges may apply for same day delivery). If you have an urgent requirement, Call 713-589-5788 or email webstore@subhlaxmigrocers.com. We do not guarantee same day delivery at this time, but may be able to help.

 

  • I’ve just placed my order, what happens next? 

You will receive a confirmation email of your order, you will then be contact by phone or email by your delivery driver to confirm order, delivery day & time frame. On the day of delivery - your driver will call you once again confirming the same. 

 

  • How do I cancel my order? 

To cancel your order before delivery day, please contact our customer service at 713-589-5788 and email: webstore@subhlaxmigrocers.com 

 

  • Can I change my order, after it has been placed? 

While we do not recommend any changes after the order is confirmed, you can contact our customer service at 713-578-5788 and email: webstore@subhlaxmigrocers.com 

 

  • Should I tip my driver? 

This is completely up to you. Tips are not required, but they are appreciated! Drivers can accept cash upon delivery.

 

  • Do I need to be present at the time of delivery? 

Yes, for confirmed Delivery windows, someone over the age of 18 must be present. If someone over the age of 18 isn't present at the time of delivery, your driver will return your items to the store and issue a refund to the credit card for the products. The delivery fee will not be refunded.  If you’d like to reschedule delivery, you will be charged another delivery fee.

 

  • Do you delivery inside my home?

No, our delivery drivers will deliver only up to your front door. They will not enter your home. Someone over the age of 18 years will need to accept delivery from the door front.

 

 

  • How do you keep my groceries fresh? 

Your order is selected the day of your delivery and loaded onto our delivery vehicle. Perishables are stored & transported in climate controlled ice boxes, so frozen items stay frozen and vegetables are crispy fresh when delivered.

 

  • What happens if an item is out of stock? 

Occasionally, we may run out of an item. Once you receive order confirmation, t we ask you if you would like us to attempt to substitute a similar item.  If you are dissatisfied with an item when it is delivered, notify your driver, and he/she will return it and your credit card will receive a refund for the price charged for the item. If an item is missing from your order, you have 48 hours from the time of delivery to notify Customer Support for a full refund. Note that certain items, including Fresh Produce, Dairy products & Frozen Items cannot be returned or refunded once you have accepted delivery. 

 

  • What is your 100% Satisfaction Guarantee? 

If you are not completely satisfied with any item, either return it with your driver & call Subhlaxmi Grocers Customer Support at 713-589-5788 for a refund or credit. Subhlaxmi Grocers will issue a credit to the card used in an amount equal to the value of items (excluding delivery fees), plus applicable sales tax. Some exceptions may apply. Please check your Produce & Frozen items carefully while accepting delivery. Fresh Produce, Dairy products & Frozen Items cannot be returned or refunded once you have accepted delivery. Please note - the delivery fees are non refundable.  

 

  • Can I find all the products online that I buy in the store? 

Yes. We offer majority of the items online that are in store. If you are looking for a particular item, and cannot find it online – please call our customer service phone 713-589-5788 & our associates will be happy to help you. 

 

 

  • I want to shop. How do I start? 

If you have not utilized our online grocery delivery service before, simply visit the subhlaxmigrocers.com site and create an account. If you already have a subhlaxmigrocers.com web account, just sign in and start shopping. At checkout – just select local delivery.

 

  • Can I place a delivery order for someone else? 

If you want to order groceries for a parent, friend or a student away at college, simply create a new account with that person's delivery address and use your own credit card for payment.

 

How do I pay for my order? 

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards, and debit cards that have a Visa or MasterCard logo. Cash, gift cards, Fast Forward, personal checks and other charge accounts are currently not accepted online.
